Line and Color: Decorating the Lowfire Surface Sept 7 - 8 Courtney Murphy In this class, Courtney will demonstrate both wheel thrown work, as well as simple slab construction using tar paper templates. We will be working with a smooth earthenware and be shown techniques for decorating at the leather hard stage using slips and terra sig, as well as decorating with majolica on bisque, using slip trailers and underglazes. |

Printmaking Narrative and Clay Sept 14 -15 Paul Andrew Wandless This workshop will be an introduction to combining printmaking techniques with clay process to make narrative work. Monoprinting, screen printing and relief printing techniques will be covered. Images, designs, patterns and text will be used for personal expression, explore narrative or to create patterns and designs. Learning the methods and troubleshooting them effectively will be a priority of the workshop. |
